This was not the case and Oaktree did not accept that Zhang should pay off the amount due through a loan from the English fund Pimco.
The reason why Oaktree opposed it is simple: in the agreement signed three years ago, it was also foreseen that the fund would have a percentage on the future resale of the club, and therefore it could not accept that Zhang would go into debt againthus devaluing the overall value of Inter.

And for all these reasons, in the end Oaktree became the owner of the Nerazzurri but immediately guaranteed the fans and management, to continue on the virtuous path undertaken in recent years. And the appointment of Marotta as president of the club is the most tangible proof of how the fund has no intention of downsizing the club’s sporting project.
There was also an important meeting between the representatives of the fund and Inzaghi, which seems to have reassured the Italian coach, who is now ready to start a negotiation with the club for a renewal and adjustment of his contract until 2027.
Dumfries away? Inzaghi already knows how to replace him
