Charles Leclerc, after the Canadian GP, spoke about the weakness that is limiting the SF-24 and that Ferrari should do its best to limit
Charles Leclerc analyzed Ferrari’s season until now, focusing on the weaknesses of the SF-24 which they are already working on in Maranello. The problem that the Monegasque spoke about, in fact, has emerged in some of the races run so far and has encouraged his team to overcome this “problem”.
The season of Ferrari’s number 16 has certainly been positive so far. In fact, together with the victory in Monaco, up until Canada he had always finished among the top 4 in the race. The Montreal race returned a rather ugly Ferrari, but in any case there doesn’t seem to be anything to despair about.
The Italian team continues to be the contender for the constructors’ championship, “only” 49 points away from Red Bull (last year, at this point in the season, the gap was around 200 points). Precisely considering the ambition for this season, Leclerc wants the car’s weakness in long, slow corners to be limited.

The Monegasque, in fact, after analyzing the races run up to this point, noted that the SF-24 does not perform optimally in cornersin fact, long and slow like those of Bahrain or China, races where Ferrari ran into slight difficulty.
“This is still an area we need to work on with the car, so I would say it’s the main issue to address, but it’s not just that. There are many small details that, when added together, can make the difference. With a new package that provides more downforce and a little less aerodynamic resistance we can definitely improve” said Leclerc after the Canadian GP.
“These are tenths, even hundredths sometimes. But if we improve these small details we can really make a difference. We have identified the problem and are already working on it” adds Ferrari’s number 16.
