CHow will Liberty Media affect it in the meantime and also when the transition is completed?

I don’t think there will be big changes from the bike point of view. Their work, at least in my opinion, will focus more on the whole part relating to entertainment, marketing and everything related to the more strictly sporting and technical aspect. The work carried out by Dorna in recent years will not be revolutionized: they will improve the existing with the aim of increasing the number of enthusiasts. The formula works and people have remained close to this world after a small period of physiological decline due to many factors.

Speaking of enthusiasts: will they also grow with Marc Marquez as an official Ducati rider?

Marc Marquez is not the only one. The level is already very high and there is good competition, but if we look to next year it is already clear that the spectacle will be even greater. I repeat: there is not only Marquez with the Ducati, but also Jorge Martin with the Aprilia, KTM who has created a squadron and now they have also announced Maverick Vinales. It will be a great brawl and many will get back into racing.

While waiting for someone to come closer, Suzuki has moved away in the meantime and it is rumored that others could follow her too…

Suzuki made a choice two years ago now, but there is no fear that other Japanese manufacturers will follow that path. Furthermore, not everyone, even in Suzuki itself, was convinced of leaving MotoGP and it’s not a given that we won’t see that brand again.

So, despite the crisis, will Yamaha and Honda still be in the game?

They will be part of the game and will be protagonists again. Maybe you can’t see it from the outside yet, but they are doing a great job. The concessions will certainly help and I am sure that within a relatively short time we will see them there fighting together with the others. Racing is in their DNA.

Is the reference to the “others” the usual ones or is there the possibility of seeing some new brands in MotoGP?

We will see new brands.

BMW or Kawasaki?

Don’t make me say more. But, trust me, there is great interest around MotoGP and there will be no shortage of those who want to give it a try

With the new MotoGP regulations and prototypes that will inevitably go slower, it is likely that we will see some revolutions in Superbike too…

It’s logical that it will be like this, but I wouldn’t talk about a revolution. There will certainly be some important changes and the FIM is busy discussing how to change and what direction to take. Certainly, even in the production derivatives, it will be ensured that the bikes go slower than now, also for reasons of safety.

There are those who have talked about a SBK with naked bikes to meet the indications coming from the market. Is this a possibility?

At this stage everything is a possibility, but I don’t think the priority is to eliminate the fairings. In my opinion, the framework will remain this, without distorting too much: motorbike racing is done with racing motorbikes. Then it is clear that there will be some changes, also to keep the performance gap unchanged between the MotoGP and the Superbikes, but no extravagance.
