“Anna Turel is ripe to make the big leap to A1 and has the right characteristics of the player we were looking for.” Paolo Seletti thus presents the new purchase of E-Work, made official yesterday, yet another young bet that the management had to make in view of the next season also due to the reduced budget. The guard born in 2002, fresh from the A2 championship won with Alpo Villafranca, is however an athlete with great potential who has all the requirements to be able to do well even in the top series, after good seasons spent in Trieste, Udine and Alpo. “Anna has followed a clear and linear path in her career – continues Seletti – perhaps even more than some of her much more sponsored companions. She has always made conscious choices and has always progressed, this says a lot about the person she is. She has a great understanding of the game and excellent hands, both for passing and shooting, but he must work to overcome his physical and athletic limitations. If he manages to win this challenge, he will play in A1 for the rest of his career.”

Turel is obviously very satisfied, as she will have one of the most important opportunities of her career. “I absolutely didn’t expect the call from Faenza – he underlines –. It will be my first year of A1 and I will have to adapt to this reality. We have a very young roster and consequently there may be difficulties in terms of experience, but when you are young there is always a great desire to work and therefore I am very confident.” With the arrival of Turel, only three players are missing to complete the E-Work roster. The American point guard and pivot and the German power forward Marie Reichert, one step away from signing. At the moment the Faenza players have guard Federica Franceschelli and wing guard Sara Roumy as part of the starting five and the bench is completed with point guard Rachele Porcu, point guard Emilie Brzonova, guard Anna Turel and alipivots Amy Jakpa and Martina Fantini.
