THE Samnite Bersaglieri touch they took 2nd place at the Naples stage of the Italian touch championship, which took place on Saturday 8 June, which saw the victory of the Abruzzo team from L’Aquila touch, with Toccati Roma in third place, followed by Ternana touch and Scodadet Fano.
With this placement the Bersaglieri take fourth place in the general ranking, behind the big names in the Italian touch panorama, namely Scambi Padova, Verona touch and the reigning Italian champions Brianza. A great result that rewards the consistency of the Sanniti touchers involved in many stages of the Italian championship.
“Fourth place is a result that goes far beyond the expectations at the start of the season – he has declared Annalisa Mogaverotoucher and Vice President of the Samnite association. We participated in many stages of the championship with passion and sacrifice as we are the southernmost team in the Italian movement and fourth place gratifies us enormously. Now the finals in Calvisano await us where we will do our best to do well.”
The Italian touch championship will have its epilogue on June 29th in Calvisano, Lombardy, which will see the participation of the best Italian teams with around five hundred athletes involved. The Bersaglieri will try to improve the ninth position achieved last year. Sixteen players have been called up by coach Fabio Santucci who will be able to count on the full squad for the occasion.
