Last 3/26, well before we officially knew what the rotation on the bench would be, we told you about Juventus’ idea. Cristiano Giuntoli is working to ensure the new coach has two new midfielders whose total expenditure is around €60/70 million. In the mind of the director and the new coach there is the idea of creating an instant team, that is, strengthening Juve with experienced players, with easy goals from their feet and in the best moment of their careers. The objective, ultimately, has always been clear: to make the team competitive and virtuous. The ambition to win again immediately is there.
THE TWO MUSKETEERS – The market dream has always been represented by Teun Koopmeiners (26). The agreement on the economic level (four-year contract of €4/4.5 million plus bonuses) has already been reached a few weeks ago, but the agreement with Atalanta is still missing. The DEA’s valuation is over €60 million and the Juventus management is thinking about a possible offer that could include compensation and thus lower the request to 30/35. To date, none have been sent yet. The other name was that of Lewis Ferguson (24) of Bologna, with whom there had already been two meetings with his agents for which an offer of between 20/25 million would have been presented. The strategies changed with the Scot’s injury, the opportunity is called Douglas Luiz (26) and Aston Villa are pushing for the sale as they must fall under Premier League financial rules before 30/6. This is an advantage for the Juventus club, but at the moment what divides the parties is the adjustment requested by the English of 30/35 million considered excessive. Weston McKennie (25), who would be mistaken for the Brazilian, is valued at 30, unlike Luiz’s price which fluctuates between 60 and 65.
