Leclerc’s comments in the Ferrari F1 briefing

We are in the introductory phase of the briefingduring which the pilots provide general comments on all aspects of the track: car, tyres, qualifying simulation and race pace, to be explored in greater detail later.

Leclerc starts right away analyzing the tiresin particular the C3 compound, stating from a qualifying perspective how many timed laps they could provide:

On the first lap I stayed well under the limit. The second lap gave me the impression that the C3 could do more laps. However, on the second run, that wasn’t the case at all“.

The Ferrari driver continues analyzing the behavior of the carhighlighting a gap in the combined tractionor while you are still on the curve:

I locked up in turn 4, I think because I probably went a little too wide when braking and, from that moment on, especially on the rear, the combined traction It’s gotten a lot worse. So it was a lot from there difficult to maintain the same trust entering and exiting corners, especially low speed ones“.

Finally, n°16 addresses the topic race pacefocusing on level of tire management in some corners:

As for the full tank runs, everything seemed in line. I did the first laps more calmly than this morning, which helped me get into a rhythm. I agree with Carlos that curve 12 seems too slow and 6-7 seem definitely too fast” and concludes “but I’ll go into more detail later, thanks“.
