An epochal turning point is ready in Formula 1, from 2025 everything can really change: in the paddock they can’t believe it
We haven’t seen such a hard-fought and largely balanced World Cup for a long time. Certainly thanks to the enormous improvements recorded by McLaren And Ferrarinow more competitive than ever. Red Bull and Max Verstappen are warned: yet another appetizer of what scares the fans of the Scuderia from Milton Keynes has arrived in Monte Carlo where on the occasion of the Monaco GPCharles Leclerc dominated the entire weekend.
The Monegasque is the cornerstone of the ‘Red’, both for the present and for next year when Lewis Hamilton arrives in Maranello, ready to replace the excellent Carlos Sainz. Ferrari and beyond, the changes in the world of F1 will be important in the near future. Both with regards to the drivers and the changes that the FIA is thinking of making on certain aspects.
In 2026, as we know, the power unit revolution could significantly shuffle the cards in the paddock and bring everyone back to being competitive for the top. From this point of view, work is already being done in that direction among the top teams.
Meanwhile, in the last few hours a real bomb has arrived, a change that could leave millions of fans stunned starting next year. The FIA is really thinking about it and now everything is possible: there is already an announcement that anticipates a big change.
F1 revolution: incredible decision
The hot topic would concern the liveries of the Formula 1 cars which, year after year, is increasingly indistinguishable. Whether it’s Mercedes and Aston Martin or Williams and Red Bull, little changes.
To the eye, more often than not, we get confused. And so the FIA is evaluating a significant change to allow greater distinction between the various machines. Nikolas Tombazishead of FIA single-seaters, spoke to ‘Motorsport.com’ in this regard, specifying the issue. “One of the problems is that the cars have a lot of carbon fiber, since the weight of the paint matters so much and therefore the cars are all a little too black“.
It is also explained how all the stables, over the years, “They worked hard to use thinner and thinner films to keep the weight down.” In this sense, the FIA is reportedly working on a solution. But Tombazis launches an idea: “The teams should collaborate by informing themselves, for example, about where their livery will be blue, so that there it won’t be blue for another car.”
“We don’t want to impose rules for liveries but they need to be more distinguishable“, he said. The path for next season is mapped out: we’ll see if and how the situation changes.
