The team principal from the Ferrarito the century monsieur Frederic Vasseur, seems to have convinced even the most critical fans. The recipe for the always hilarious Fred I believe it can be based on two principles: clear ideas and a peaceful environment. Let’s face it: in the aftermath of the official announcement of his arrival, many (including myself) were left with the unpleasant sensation of a “fallback” choice. Not finding anything better and for obvious reasons no longer wanting to continue with Mattia Binotto, we go for used vehicles while waiting for better times. Something exemplified in many areas of life.

When Vasseur he arrived at the Ferrari he did not find the rubble, as happened for example to another named transalpine Jean Todtin the early nineties with a technical department that was very behind the competition, but certainly Fred he didn’t find a good “climate”. The era had to be overcome quickly and archived Binotto (specifically, Binotto as head of the Scuderia), characterized by just one competitive single-seater, the good one anyway F1-75at least for half the world, see the entry 2022. A car capable of igniting the imagination of supporters until everything went to hell.

Mandate in which an embarrassing series of errors were present, especially at a strategic level, all seasoned with a stinging way of acting that had alienated not only a large part of the “sympathies” within the various departments, but also that of Leclerc, for obvious reasons that we will not repeat or recall here. The problem of Vasseur however, it was also something else: he had received a single-seater F1 keys in hand. And he could do nothing but hope that things would go well, because in the end it was not possible to radically change the fate of the SF-23.

However, we know, now in retrospect, that the single-seater in question was in fact an unfortunate car that he collected pole position but he melted in the race. However, there was at least one positive aspect. That is, being able to understand where to intervene and then slowly improve it. So much so that the SF-24 was born from the foundations of, let’s call it that, SF-23B. Now, it’s obvious that Vasseur didn’t set out to design this year’s car. He doesn’t have the skills (even though he has a technical background as an engineer) and the role of TP is an eminently “political” role.

F1, Ferrari knows how to handle two potential world champions

However, ours, very secretly, has begun to give trust to some and then take it away from others. Surgically, in one way or another they said goodbye to those he considered weak links and in the meantime he began a purchasing campaign at a technical level, culminating (for now) with the fireworks of Lewis Hamilton. About brilliant Newey we won’t say anything, because I believe there is still a lot to write and say. This despite Adrian he “enjoys” signing flags Ferrari. Recently interviewed, the team principal from the Ferrari he neither denied nor, obviously, confirmed.

So it means there’s a little fat, let’s put it that way. Trust me. In any case, the point is that after a moment of inevitable “acclimatization”, the new team principal of Ferrari began to act in a clear, precise manner. And, so far, the facts prove him right. Another point: a peaceful environment. I haven’t seen such happy faces in a long time box of the redhead. It may seem obvious to say it, but obviously if you feel good in a working environment, if you don’t feel perpetually under scrutiny, if there are no factions fighting against each other, you feel better and perform better.

We often forget that the F1 it is made of a lot of technology but, ultimately, there are human beings who finalize all that work. Conversely, a less than serene environment is no guarantee of success even with a superior means. It is the case Red Bull, which exploded in a series of internal factions that broke out when he was at the top, seems almost textbook. It may be a coincidence, but to date no one could have predicted, at the start of the world championship, such an attackable and “human” team after the accusations rained down on Horner and its internal settlement of “accounts”.

As far as I’m concerned, I don’t think that Verstappen he will have problems reconfirming himself as world champion. Nonetheless, it is also true that for a few races we have been witnessing another world championship. Returning to ours, I believe that under the good-natured exterior, Frederic Vasseur is quite pragmatic, decisive, but also not too pervasive and centralizing (as instead happened with Binotto). And I believe that this is the right recipe, if the technicians are up to it, to bring back the Ferrari permanently at the top. To conclude, allow me to address a question that arouses quite a bit of curiosity.

The future pair of drivers who, on board the Italian cars, will face the world championship 2025. On the one hand, the child raised and nourished by the “udders” of the Horse; on the other, mister seven titles, a living monument to the glory of speed. Two talents in distinct phases of their careers, ready to share the garage on circuits around the world.
Projecting ourselves into the future, there are those who foresee tumultuous days if the next Italian creature is able to compete for the title. However Vasseur does not share these concerns. Indeed, he confidently states that “you get more points with two drivers than with… one and a half“.

The “half pilot” is not Carlos, no crossbow towards the Spanish. “As soon as one of the two suffers a slight drop in performance, the other takes the lead“, he claims Fred, alluding to the current pair of drivers. “And it’s been like this since the beginning of last year“, concludes the manager Of Draveil. On the other hand, pushing each other up never hurt F1, as long as the “performance decorum” remains intact. In extreme summary, we could paraphrase the thoughts of the country priest in this way: better two roosters in the henhouse than a submissive hen, forced to suffer.
