Aston Martin, Stroll has decided: Binotto is ever closer

Aston Martin is evidently working on a new staffing revolution at the behest of Stroll Senior. Mattia Binottothe former Ferrari team principal, is expected to be brought back to Formula 1 by Lawrence Stroll. Binotto could take on the role of Chief Technical Officer (CTO), a position that has been vacant ever since Andrew Green would leave early 2023. In this new role, Binotto would be the superior of Dan Fallows, the technical director of Aston Martin. Although Fallows continues to design the car, Binotto could focus on establishing the technical structures and collaborate with Martin Whitmarsh, CEO of Aston Martin Performance Technologies, on the overall strategic vision. Fallows and the team principal Mike Krack they would continue to manage all day-to-day processes of the team, as gathered by Motorsport-Total.

A Strategic Return for Aston Martin

Binotto’s possible return to Formula 1 would represent a significant strengthening for Aston Martin according to Stroll Sr.. Binotto, with his vast experience and technical knowledge, could significantly contribute to improving the team’s performance. His ability to establish solid technical structures and work on the long-term strategic vision would be an important added value. By partnering with Martin Whitmarsh, Binotto could ensure the team’s technical direction is aligned with Aston Martin’s strategic objectives. This synergy could lead to a significant improvement in on-track performance and a consolidation of Aston Martin’s position in the Formula 1 championship.
