At a time when Italy is choosing motorcycles more than cars, Piaggio comes out with a new scooter. Here are his secrets.

After the slight decline in March, the month of April smiled again at the two-wheel market, a symptom that in the Bel Paese there is a greater desire to invest in an agile vehicle, rather than in a demanding one like the car. The trend has been going on for a couple of years, indeed, to be honest, since the post-pandemic period, two wheels have experienced a real boom phase. Therefore, the great reactivity of the manufacturers is not surprising.

In particular Piaggio wanted to respond to people’s needs to avoid long waits in traffic with a perfect scooter to cover your daily home-work routes. Lightweight, within reach of all budgets, not particularly powerful, but above all comfortable, it is the ideal vehicle for those who have no ambitions, but still want a solution that moves well even on extra-urban roads.

Piaggio launches a new scooter, its features

It’s called the Beverly 300 and it’s perfect for those looking for grit and comfort. Also ideal for those who need to travel short stretches on the motorway, it has nothing to envy of the 400 HPE. Compact, but equally suitable for slightly longer journeys, it features 16-inch wheels at the front and 14 at the rear. The saddle pad is spacious, with the possibility of inserting two open helmets and a small bag.

The chassis is a double cradle with Showa suspension, while the braking system is made up of metal braided hoses. The front disc measures 300 mm with a two-piston caliper and guarantees good response in all conditions; on the scale it shows 185 kg. It is powered by a 278 cc single-cylinder four-valve engine, capable of delivering up to 26 hp at 8 thousand rpm, with a maximum torque of 26 Nm. To ensure maximum safety even when grip is lacking, a switchable traction control has been introduced.

The features also include the keyless system, full LED headlights, a USB socket and the Piaggio Mia device to connect via Bluetooth with your phone. Consumption is around 30 km with one liter compared to a 12 liter tank which allows you to travel 350 km before the necessary topping up. We close with the price starting from 5,599 euros for the basic model, up to 5,699 euros for the S variant.
