Borgonovo Volleyball has yet to conclude its season but is already working towards the next one. For this reason, President Isabella Gerbi has clear ideas for the 2024-2025 year which lead to the return of Maurizio Tirinti as sporting director.
«We decided to launch a new project – explained Gerbi – and we immediately looked for a person who could become the point of reference for the entire sector, in order to carry out our work with professionalism and competence. Qualities that we identified in Maurizio Tirinti, a manager with many years of volleyball behind him, who enthusiastically accepted our proposal. The Tirinti experience will certainly be of great help and stimulus.”
In the last two seasons, the 56-year-old manager of Castellano origins has held the role of Team Manager and Sports Director at Miovolley, with which he obtained promotion to Serie B1, winning the B2 Italian Cup with the first team.
«I thank the club – are Tirinti’s first words – for this important role and I will try to give new impetus and new energy to the path undertaken with seriousness and passion by the club in recent years, making my knowledge and skills available. There is certainly a lot to do and to rebuild in this historical reality which deserves to return to its ancient beginnings by investing first and foremost in coaches and promising young volleyball players. We are already working to build a year of relaunch starting from the construction of the youth sector teams, planning an efficient management of human, material and financial resources”.
