There is still little technical information about her, but she is already there unleashing the imagination of roadster lovers. Officially registered for a few months now, it recently made its debut on the streets albeit in a provisional version. After the recent Meteor 350 Aurora, Bullet 305 and HIM-E, Royal Enfield raises the bar to say the least with a significant investment in technology, but not only.
Born to satisfy the most refined palates looking for the performance and comfort of a vehicle dedicated to grinding kilometers after kilometres, it does not disdain attention to modernity. Among the few details that are known, we know for sure that it is more refined than the previous model and that its engine has been totally revised.
Royal Enfield does not cheat, what is known about the latest beast
Is called Himalayan 452 and its goal is to make people forget about the old 411. As anticipated, the most important news concerns the engine.
Powering it is a 452 cc single-cylinder engine with double overhead camshaft distribution, capable of delivering up to 40 hp to the asphalt, with a maximum torque of 40 Nm with liquid cooling. The gearbox has six speeds, while the Ride By Wire which acts on the accelerator has been installed to manage the mapping of the drive unit.
Aesthetically, it is much more fluid and soft in its lines than its older sister, and the tank has also been enlarged to 20 litres. To facilitate driving and make it less tiring the riding position has been completely changed and is now longer and more spacious. These benefits do not only apply to the driver, given that the portion dedicated to the passenger has also been enlarged.
Some improvements have also been made at the chassis level, so steel chassis was joined by the 43 mm Showa upside-down fork, while at the back we have a monoshock with adjustable preload. The brakes boast a 310 mm disc at the front with a two-piston caliper, while at the rear we have a 270 mm disc with a single-piston caliper. The spoked rims are 17 and 21 inches, with slightly knobby tyres.
A TFT screen has been made available for information color that can be connected to the phone and guarantees navigation via Google Maps. The lights are all full LED. The Guerrilla 450 will probably be released before this model.
