Another adventure for the young people and those who are no longer from Canegrate Volleyball who left in 144 to participate in the 23rd Kiklos Young Volley on the Beach in Bellaria Igea Marina from 26 to 28 April.
HERE’S HOW IT WENT
Our first participation dates back to 2016, 4th edition. Rented two coaches and many cars for the trip.
We fielded the S3 red and under 13, 14, 16 women’s volleyball teams, under 15, 17 and 19 men’s teams and last but not least the amateurs, not to mention the registered foosball and beach bowls teams. We showed up with 18 teams from minivolley to under 19, three teams of chaperones and in the ranking of registered companies, with 144 participants we placed ourselves in eleventh place, not to mention that other parents reached us with their own means.
The best placed of the two under 13 teams is 49th out of 165 registered; in the under 14s, of the two of the four participants, they ranked 9th and 49th out of 259 teams; the men’s under 15 took 13th position out of 24 registered; the first of the four under 16 teams ranked 65th out of 259 teams registered; the men’s under 17s 24th out of 28 teams registered; the men’s under 19 ranked 9th out of 26 registered.
On the podium the category: companions 1st place was awarded.
Some numbers from this edition from the Kiklos organization: 10,000 participants – 130 companies – 1,600 teams – 180 Kiklos staff.
Thousands of matches and millions of dunks, all in the name of fair play and good humor: these are the prerequisites of the three days on the sand; 200 fields of different sizes that welcomed all the athletes of the different categories on 1000 meters of beach.
Not only Under teams, but also many accompanying teams including 6×6 beach volleyball, table football and beach bowls… days of sport and fun for all ages. Departure at dawn on Friday, relaxing journey by bus and arrival at the hotel in the morning to unload your luggage.
Straight away to the beach to eat something because the teams were scheduled to meet in the early afternoon to start competing; after consulting the program, we split up on the fields set up on the beaches of Igea Marina to finally start playing. The atmospheric conditions over the three days didn’t worry too much, passing clouds every now and then, four drops with a change in temperature, but the meetings took place regularly. Late Sunday afternoon we all returned to the hotel to load our luggage onto the buses to leave.
We thank the managers present, all our athletes who as always cheer up and enrich every new experience undertaken, the coaches and parents always at our side ready to help.
