Max Verstappen finished second in the Miami Grand Prix which was surprisingly won by Lando Norris in the McLaren. His words are controversial
For the second time this season Max Verstappen failed to cross the finish line first in a Grand Prix. It happened in Australia, when he retired due to brake failure and it happened in Miami where he was beaten by Lando Norris’ McLaren. A partial disappointment for the Dutch rider who remains firmly at the top of the world championship standings.
Verstappen is the greatest talent to emerge from the world circus academies in recent years. He was so good that he convinced the Toro Rosso leaders to let him compete when he was still a minor, in 2015. Since then, however, the International Federation has introduced a rule which prohibits drivers who are still minors from racing in Formula 1 on a race weekend.
Grand prix events are therefore prohibited for anyone under the age of eighteen. unless there is an exemption. However, in order for the FIA to grant it, the green light is needed from all the teams, as well as from the leaders of world motor racing. Exemption that was required to compete the talent of the Mercedes Academy, Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
This very young driver has been talked about for some time as being predestined but to test him it is necessary for him to acquire the right amount of experience as soon as possible. But that of young age risks being a false problem, as underlined by Max Verstappen.

“This rule was introduced because of me and it doesn’t just affect Andrea, but it can prevent talented young drivers from quickly entering Formula 1, because they must first collect the 40 points to obtain the super license“.
