Great performance by Domenico Grassotti’s Biancorosse, capable of conquering Campo Gaggio against their “cousins”, Lions Tortona. Fifth place therefore for the University teams, just six points behind Rugby San Mauro. Defeat, however, for the first men’s team, led by Andew Roob. Biancorossi overcome by Ivrea Rugby at the Carlini-Bollesan Stadium. Seventh place in Group 1 for the University team, expected to recover against Rugby Lecco next week.

Defeat in the singles for Spiridon against Malgaroli and for Reitano against Gramaticopolo, victories for Costa against Nascardi and formetti against Lodigiani at the end of a real battle. In the doubles, two defeats for the Biancorossi, suffered by Reitano and Spiridon against Malgaroli and Gramaticopolo, as well as by Costa and Luzzo, who came close to winning against Lodigiani and Nascardi.

On the one hand, Team “A”, defeated by Tennis Break Point Savona 4-0, with the Savona team thus gaining first place in the group, awaiting the Playoffs. Defeat at home also for Team “B”, opponent of LA Tennis “A”. An away defeat for the first women’s team in the Serie D Playout Group Tiziano Caponi’s girls are beaten 3-1 by Cogovalle but remain fifth in the group at +2 on Paladonbosco Pallavolo Genova.

ATHLETICS. The Track Club Championships for the Boys and Girls categories were held on Saturday in Boissano, in the Savona area. CUS Genova Atletica took seventh place in the Girls category. Excellent performance by Valentina Faga, first in the 60 meters with 8″26, and in the weight with 10.00, while the 4×100 relay was sixth. As regards the Boys category, Andrea Perrotta placed second in the 60 with 8″38, while Daniele Massucco took fifth place in the long distance with 4.05. In the Cadette side races, Beatrice Cagliani obtained second place in the 300 hs with 52″83.
