Pallavolo Cremonese wins Villanuova and wins the historic promotion to Serie B

At 2-0 the chants already start and at 17-25 of the third set the white-blue celebration begins. Cremonese Volleyball is in B series. A day early, Alessandro Pizzelli’s team brings the men’s national series back to Cremona.

An unprecedented feat for the Cremonese club, a highly sought after and absolutely deserved result that comes at the end of one of the most beautiful seasons ever, studded with countless successes but also marked by many difficulties that only with the growing strength of the group and the the company’s constant commitment has resulted in the best possible result.

After having come close to crowning the season already last day (2-3 in the big match with Monza) the Cremonesi don’t miss the second opportunity to mathematically secure first place in the standings. In Villanuova, Lupi and his teammates are fully motivated to conquer that point that was missing to mathematically sanction the category jump. The blue and whites start off great (8-12 / 17-21 / 19-25) and then create that 2-9 break (14-16 / 18-25) which sends Nuova Cat Mungitrici to heaven.

Even though the third set is just a practice to be completed, coach Pizzelli’s men do not give up on putting the icing on the cake by liquidating the Valsabbini (8-13 / 10-17 / 17-25).

Deserved celebration (and continued late into the night at the Juliette) for the Cremonese Volleyball team which with 21 victories in 25 days and 64 points won (+6 on the rest of the class) brings back a men’s national series after about twenty years in the shadow of the torrazzo, promising all fans a 24/25 season of the highest level.

However, the white and blue show is not over yet. In addition to the home match on the last day of the championship, where there will be the opportunity to embrace its fans and celebrate the promotion together, PCR will also bring the Lombardy Scudetto challenge to Cremona which will see it challenge Diavoli Powervolley, first place in the group TO.
