PALERMO – The secrets of MotoGP and Pecco Bagnaia told by his race engineer. The Riolo Group with Ducati Palermo brings Tommaso Pagano, track electronic engineer of the premier class world champion, directly from Borgo Panigale to Unipa. The appointment was yesterday (Friday 3 May) in the great hall of Building 7, which houses the Engineering department of the University of Palermo. Pagano, as a former student of the University of Palermo, explained how important his education at the Faculty of Engineering was: “We need to create more and more collaboration with companies which is much simpler in universities in the North. It is fundamental for the future of car companies and kids,” he said.

We are fortunate to represent brands that make hearts beat. And when passion and work are intertwined, everything is easier.”

The director of the Engineering department Antonino Valenza explained that “I can only be pleased and express the full approval of the entire Engineering department towards an initiative like this. I am pleased to underline that it was born from the resourcefulness and desire to compete with the world of work on the part of our students: this event represents a virtuous model of how the teaching approach of our study courses is synergistic with the interests and goals of our kids. The department, therefore, can only embrace and make its own events like this.”

The initiative, in fact, started from the student group Vivere Engineering. “It is an immense honor for us – explains Andrea De Pasquale, president of Vivere Engineering – to have created such a prestigious event in collaboration with Ducati, whose participation brings with it not only a long history of successes, but also the continuous search for engineering innovation and represents added value for our academic community. Furthermore, the presence of the engineer Tommaso Pagano, a former student of the University of Palermo, is a source of pride for our university and for all colleagues who enthusiastically accepted our invitation. Thanks to this initiative we want to offer students the opportunity to turn a dream into reality, with the hope that it will only be the first of many future successes. We will continue to work with commitment and dedication to further enrich the student community and promote significant initiatives that contribute to the personal and professional growth of Unipa students”.
