05/03/2024 – «We are training with intensity, we want to prepare well for Sunday’s match against Tarvisium to close the championship well». The Giallorossi winger Gabriele Venturini scores at Fiorini Pesaro Rugby.

Sunday at 3.30pm last match for the 2023/2024 Serie A championship for the Giallorossi Kiwis. Opponent of the day Botter Ruggers Tarvisium. The Venetian team is in fourth place in the standings with 68 points, while the Pesaro team are in 8th place with 37.

«We want to greet this season with a good match and perhaps with the victory that has been missing for a while. It won’t be easy against the 4th in the table, but we want and must try. We’re doing well, a good group has been created this year and we want to finish the championship united as we started.”

What game are you expecting? «Tarvisium is a very solid team that makes good use of the opportunities it creates. In defense they are very good, they tackle and try to steal the ball. We expect a match fought until the last minute. They will try to impose themselves until the end, and so will we.”

What aspects should you focus on? «The scrum package is their strong point. As always, we will have to try to impose our game. If we can play our game we can impose ourselves even against challenging teams.”

Will there be room for experiments this Sunday too? «We will certainly continue to experiment in view of next season. There will be changes in the lineup, more space even for those who have played less and perhaps some new debuts.”

Giallorossi Sunday doesn’t end with the first XV. Over the weekend, Teknowool Rugby Park will host the second edition of the under 16 AdriatiCup tournament which will see 12 teams from all over Italy involved. The Pesaro pitch will also be the backdrop, at 2.00 pm, for the match between the under 18 teams of Fiorini Pesaro Rugby and Lions Amaranto, valid for the third to last day of the Interregional Championship (Band 2). To close the day, at 4.00 pm, the second leg of the Serie C play-off between Fano Rugby and Parma Rugby. Due to work on the Fano facility, the Pesaro pitch hosts the playoff for promotion to Serie B.
