Cycling, Bergamo titles for Beginners, Women Beginners and Students assigned to Comenduno

Intense day of cycling on May 1st in Comenduno di Albino with the organizational direction of SC Gazzanighese of the president Mauro Zinetti. This year, two women’s races have also been added to the usual double event reserved for the men’s rookie category, making the party even bigger. A day, among other things, which also offered the Bergamo provincial category titles up for grabs.

The males opened the day in the morning. Second seasonal success for the Trentino player Nicolò Trainotti (Forti e Veloci), who left on Colle Sfanino and landed all alone at the finish line of 20th Armanni Giuseppe and Ferrari Trophy Honored in Memory for 1st year beginners. Behind him, 46″ behind him, a trio made up of Giovanni Busca (Mazzano), Giuseppe Marti (Pedal Casalese) e Marco Bertacchini, passed in this order both on the mountain grand prix and under the finish line. Thanks to ninth place, the provincial title went to Cristiano Togni (Brembillese pedal).

The 2nd year rookies then competed. The clear path of the Crema area continues Riccardo Longo (Team Serio) which, as already happened in 2023, wins the Armanni Carrelli Elevatori srl Trophy putting the seventh seasonal pearl on the board. The Team Serio standard bearer found himself in the vanguard already in the seventh of the ten flat laps in the company of Gioel Sosa Col (Mazzano) e Giacomo Carlin (Strong and Fast). Having opened a gap against the group, it was then on Sfanino that Longo left all alone and launched himself towards the finish line. Celebration under the finish line also for Sosa Colon, who did well to defend his well-deserved second position; mission accomplished also for Giacomo Carlin who, despite being caught again by his closest pursuers, was able to manage his energy and win the sprint for third place.

Behind his back Isabella De Angelis (Uc Ossanesga) preceded the group regulated in the sprint by Melania Minichino (Mazzano).

Maria Acuti strengthens her leadership in the Pink Trophy, a national challenge now in its seventh round, while Isabella De Angelis wins the title of Bergamo champion in the Female Student category.
