MotoGP 24 | Review – A more fun guide

MotoGP 24 presents methods already seen in the pastas Grand Prix And Careerwithout forgetting the Championship, the Time Trial, the tutorials and the MotoGP Academy. It won’t be missed an online mode which opens the doors to a new year of LiveGP eventsalongside the Live GP Championshipa ranked league that takes place on weekdays and weekends.

There will also be some present news and improvements which make the even more enjoyable gameplay from certain points of view. First of all, the adaptive difficulty That calibrate The level of the opponents in relation to the performances of the players during the races. A change that can be felt and which we will examine in more detail during our review.

Furthermore, from this year there will be the possibility of exploiting the pilots market, both by users and by AI. Finally, the Steward who will observe every race and will assign any penalties. After this brief overview, we are ready to go into the details of the brand new product MotoGP 24: Let’s see how he fared.

There is an air of change

We dealt with it several races in MotoGP 24trying all the categories available to try to prepare ourselves as best as possible for comparison with the last chapter. If, facing the races in Moto3, we didn’t notice any big changes on the driving system, were the races in MotoGP to make us change our minds.

The model, in fact, changes compared to last year. In MotoGP 23we had encountered a more complex and different guide than usual; the moment we exited a corner and accelerated, the bike tended to run wide. In that particular situation, in fact, the motorbike he tended to get up slightly and this caused a greater difficulty closing the curve itself.

In fact, by not remaining sufficiently bent, it tended to curve less and this meant never being able to find itself exactly where you wanted to be, but always a little wider.

Naturally, given the power of the engines, this behavior it was most highlighted in MotoGP compared to Moto3. Therefore, precisely for this reason, the The Moto3 driving system seems very similar to uswhile we better perceive the change in the higher category.

MotoGP 24 is definitely more fun to ride than MotoGP 23.

This year, in MotoGP, the bike seems to be more stable and driving more precise: by accelerating out of corners we manage to keep the car exactly where we want it. We haven’t really returned to the simplicity of the model of two years agobut, surely, we hear a big difference in handling compared to the last chapter.

The phenomenon, moreover, yes It senses very well when the tires change. In fact, between the beginning and the end of the race, we feel a clear difference: with new tires, we can accelerate a lotwhile obviously remaining within the limits, without losing control of the motorbike.

The greater grip of the new wheels helps us feel a stable and reactive car. Towards the end of the racehowever, due to lower friction we feel that, using the same riding style, we slip and risk losing the rear exiting the curves.

The sensation also changesentering the curve. Compared to the previous year, we can feel the bike better and the feedback it wants to send us. Last year, in fact, we could never understand when we were about to fall.

If, for example, we braked too much – or too late – when entering a corner, we fell without realizing it. This year, however, the bike’s feedback has definitely improved and we can better perceive in which direction we are moving. Braking excessivelyIn fact, we feel a strong vibration of the controller and we perceive that we are doing something wrong. The game gives us a warning that we are about to fall, and therefore we are able to better regulate the braking.

In general, we can say that in MotoGP 24 we have a simpler guide, both entering and exiting corners. The level of simulation is still good, although it is less marked than the previous year.

The behavior of the motorbike is in in line with reality, although not 100% faithful. I mean, maybe the bar has moved back slightly towards the arcadebut we can say that it is definitely more fun to drive than MotoGP 23.

Finally a system that fits us

After theNeural AI introduced in MotoGP 23the Milestone team wanted to make room for one new form of artificial intelligenceintroducing a system of adaptive difficulty which best follows it development of the player’s potentialcalibrating itself according to the user’s skill.

In all past years, we had the possibility to set the difficulty level from 0 to 120 according to our abilities. The maximum level, in MotoGP 23, was actually very complex due to a more difficult driving system and an AI that didn’t really adapt to how complex it was. This year, in addition to finding a simpler model, we also have this new adaptive system that we were very curious to try.

We chose to start with this difficulty and, session after session, the opponents adapted to our level. To be clear, the system works precisely on our capabilities: if, during a race, we catch up very fast times, then our opponents will also calibrate themselves to reach them; on the contrary, if we are very slow, they will also increase their times.

The mode is, in our opinion, really well developed and structured . Not only does the level scale well, but the drivers are also always aggressive when needed and provide a good level of challenge.

Their behavior in the race is not only based on our abilities, but it seems to be also influenced by our behavior on social media of game. If, for example, we have some discrepancies with some driver on social media, he will try in every way to give us a hard time even on the track.

Some other news

As for the game, we have no other particular changes to layout level or models. Indeed, both graphically and within the menus, there it seems to be exactly within the previous title. There are, however, some new features, such as the pilots and stewards market.

In your career, at the end of the first season, there is the transfer market. So, not only can we users with our driver move to a new team, but others can do it too.

For example, Bagnaia – who now rides in the official Ducati – could move to Honda after the season. It’s about a feature much appreciated in other driving gameslike Formula 1, which we can finally see in MotoGP 24.

Another news it’s about the Stewards making the races more interesting. All the drivers in the race will now in fact be kept under an eye by the stewards, who will be able, in fact, assign penalties during the match.

Some of these, received during the free practice and/or qualifying sessions, will then be discounted in the race, as well as in reality. The user is left with it possibility to choose the severity of the rules and also to make a small recap of all the infringements and the related penalties, simply by consulting the Race Settings menu.

There is also space for customization and online modes

In MotoGP 24 are also present online mode and split screen, to give that extra touch of competitiveness that is needed. In fact, it will be possible to compete with a friend locally with shared screen on all platforms with the exception of Nintendo Switch.

As mentioned at the beginning, they will be introduced new LiveGP events, alongside the LiveGP Championship. It is a championship with ranking which will take place during weekdays and weekends, in which users will be able to compete in 10 challenges per month, collecting points and climbing the rankings.

Furthermore, the Milestone team promises to also introduce the online mode Race Director, dedicated to improving the streaming experience, later this year. Finally, there is a small space dedicated to customization which involves, as in the past, editing the stickers, helmets and all those little things that allow you to have a unique design to show off.
