Cruzeiro, through a press release published on its official channels, announced the transfer of ownership of 90% of the company shares to Intera BPW Sports, a company managed by the entrepreneur Pedro Lourenço, for a sum of approximately 109 million euros (600 million of reais).
Purchase in December 2021
In December 2021 Ronaldo purchased Cruzeiro by shelling out around 73 million euros, effectively saving the club, founded by the Italian community of Belo Horizonte, from bankruptcy.
