There is a young cyclist from Lucera who is eager to take part in the Giro di Puglia Challenge scheduled for September and presented last Monday in Lucera. At just 19 years old, he has just moved to the Under 23 Elite category, wearing the shirt of the Apulian team Progit, the only one in the region in this category. Simone Livrieri he already has a good CV of races won in Italy and also in Germany, especially on the track, a specialty in which he can boast militancy in the Italian national team and the bronze medal at the Italian Junior championships, won last year.
“It would be a real shame for me not to take part in the competition that takes place on my home roads – he told Luceraweb – even though I know very well that it is a rather tough commitment from a competitive point of view. I really hope that my team is admitted into the group of participants, because I want to make a good impression in front of my fellow citizens.”
With the national track jersey
The Foggia one will be the first of the competition, it will have the two ends already fixed with departure from Lucera and arrival in Roseto Valfortore (or perhaps vice versa), it was designed over a distance of 170 kilometers, with a difference in altitude of approximately 3,600 meters and capable of will certainly affect the municipalities of Pietramontecorvino, Alberona, Casalvecchio, Castelnuovo, Carlantino, San Marco la Catola, Motta, Castelluccio Valmaggiore and Faeto, but there will be at least fifteen centers involved in total.
