Defeat in Game 1 for #F at Costa Masnaga: the series now moves to Trieste!
The first battle on the Lombard pitch was lost but much credit to the rosanero who always remained in the game and kept up with the intense pace of their opponents.
It was a tough first playoff match against a very physical and deep team with many quality players who in the end managed to deservedly take home game 1. Futurosa manages to keep up with them but suffers a lot from their intensity and aggression on the second ones balls; too many turnovers and wasted opportunities that against a team of this level you always pay double; However, there remains a lot of room for improvement for Race 2.
A super performance from Miccoli keeps the Trieste team up until midway through the third quarter when she commits her fourth foul which sees Coach Mura forced to rest her for the final minutes; Ostojic and Sammartini lead the Julian team as they try to resist the siege of the hosts who manage to escape in the final minutes of the third period; gap that Futurosa will no longer be able to fill.
Head to Game 2 with a lot of motivation and awareness of having played a good match on a difficult pitch and against a very high level team.
