GROTTAZZOLINA – A weekend of well-deserved celebrations for the champions of the Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina; now, however, it’s time to put knee pads and playing shoes back on, because we’re back on the pitch. On Wednesday 1 May the newly promoted team in the Super League will be engaged in Cantù, for the quarter-finals of the Del Monte Italian Serie A2 Cup, where they will host coach Denora’s Pool Libertas, already faced twice in the championship and left out of the playoffs. The Lombards, who got the better of Santa Croce in the double match in the round of 16, will therefore have the task of bringing coach Ortenzi’s boys back “back to earth”, who understandably enjoyed a relaxing weekend by virtue of the extraordinary result achieved.
Wednesday’s match, with kick-off at 6pm, however, will not be the only weekly commitment for the Grotesi team, who will indeed be awaited by the return match (with possible golden set in case of a tie in terms of victories) on Sunday 5 May, same time, at the Palasport in Via Fonte San Pietro. At stake is access to the Italian Cup Final Four which will take place in Cuneo on 11 and 12 May. However, Sunday’s race will be preceded by an event of great importance and prominence, dedicated to the entrepreneurs and partners who will be pleased to take part: on Saturday 4 May, in fact, at 10 am, spotlights will be turned on at the PalaGrotta for an event dedicated specifically to companies, which is placed within the scope of SPORTIVA-MENTE Festival The meaning of sport for a meaningful sport, created by M&G Volleyball School with the patronage of, among others, the Marche Region. Entrepreneurs and managers will in fact be able to participate, totally free of charge upon reservation (calling 3395843648) in a masterclass in the presence of the champion former volleyball player Andrea Zorzi, (now Sports Reporter, Storytelling Actor and Motivational Speaker) and Gabriele Gabrielli (consultant, coach and University professor). The event, which will see the participation of the players and coach of M&G Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, will have as its theme “Position and role – Training in the management of conflict zones.”
