His analysis to the microphones of Sky Sport: “I think we’ll have to get used to this fight between Ducatis. In particular, Pecco and Martin already demonstrated last year that they are going very fast. Today, Bagnaia had the best race I’ve ever seen in MotoGP. Marc Marquez was very strong at the end, but Pecco did very well with that unreal time (1:37.4) to make the difference“.
Dall’Igna then offered other interesting ideas: “Starting from the front in this category is increasingly important for tire management and it is an aspect that we will have to improve with Bagnaia. Differences between GP24 and GP23? Important and more marked than in the past, but it also depends on the slopes. For example, here in Jerez I believe that the margin of advantage of the new bike over the old one was not so significant, but then it also depends on the riders“.
And the ideas on the future teammate alongside Pecco are the following: “We still have time to make this choice, but it will certainly be very difficult. Whatever happens, we will have to deny an important driver a chance and it is a decision that, when I think about it now, makes my legs tremble.“.
