Juventus faces the challenge against Milan which could be very important for qualification in the Champions League and for second place. But the latter matters little for the Bianconeri, because with the Italian Cup final it has already gained access to the final four of the Italian Super Cup in Arabia for next December (or January). In fact, Milan must not fear Juventus, but rather Bologna, because if Juventus finishes second they will be the third in the league to take the place.
Juve, what is needed for the Champions League
There Juventustherefore, is more focused on Champions area. They are now 10 points ahead of sixth-placed Atalanta. But the Bergamo players have one game less (to make up for against Fiorentina). Therefore, assuming that Atalanta wins all six of their remaining matches, taking 18 points, Juventus should score at least 9 in the next five matchdays. Not an easy task, considering the conditions of Allegri’s team, because in addition to the match against Milan, Juventus will face two very complicated away matches against the very hot Bologna and Roma. It’s true, there are also the two home matches against the already relegated Salernitana and Monza, but to have mathematical certainty to go to the Champions League, Juventus should beat at least one of Milan, Roma and Bologna. Of course, it’s not a given that Atalanta will win them all, but Juventus have very little margin to make mistakes.
