26/04/2024 – In the penultimate match of the championship the Giallorossi Kiwis host Valpolicella Rugby 1974.

Sunday, at 3.30pm at Teknowool Rugby Park, tenth matchday back and last home match of the season for the Serie A championship of the Giallorossi Kiwis. Opponent of the day Valpolicella Rugby 1974. The Venetian team is in last place in the standings with 24 points, while the Pesaro team are in 9th place with 36.
«The team is doing well, despite the defeat in the last match we showed good play, as in the rest of the championship. We have had several ups and downs but we have always maintained a good level of play, demonstrating the ability to come together as a team in moments of difficulty. Reaching mathematical salvation raised our morale but our concentration remains high. Valpolicella will arrive on Sunday and is still fighting for salvation and we must never let our guard down.”
How are you preparing? «Our goal is to play in the best way to have fun and entertain ourselves, as well as take as many points as possible to improve our position in the standings. It will be a difficult match, they will certainly be fierce, but we have studied the opponent well and some new plays to be more unpredictable. We are always looking for improvement.”
What game are you expecting? «A difficult match, probably point to point. Valpolicella will be aggressive from the start and will try to impose its game. It is a heavy team that does not disdain playing in hand, and very good at scrum play. The ranking has changed a lot in recent days, Valpolicella’s second round was one of the best, the position in the standings does not reflect the value of this team. I’m sure it will be a challenging match in which we will never have to back down.”
Game on Sunday also for the Giallorossi cadet team. The second XV, which finished the Serie C championship, will challenge Imola in a friendly match at 6.30pm.
