The Captain of Lpm Bam Mondovì Laura Grigolo, after two seasons spent in Puma, now seems to have said goodbye. The expert Venetian spiker, in fact, is about to move to another A2 club, a club that took part in the last phase of Pool Promozione. A farewell that comes after having scored 643 points in 56 games played, for an average of 11.5 points per game.

The facial injury, resulting in surgery, ended up affecting the performance of this season, which for Laura Grigolo, as for most of the puminas, can be defined as fluctuating. We contacted the woman who now seems to be the former captain of Puma, for a chat about the recently concluded Mondovì championship and beyond:

A troubled season for Lpm has come to an end. A Puma with two faces who perhaps only showed his true value at the end of the season, is that right?

“It’s been a rollercoaster season for so many reasons.” – explains Captain Grigolo – “We certainly played a good game in the second half, at times at a high level, thanks to the fact that we were more calm, especially from a mental point of view.”

What was the most difficult moment of the season and what was the cause of such a fluctuating performance?

“The change of coach was perhaps the most delicate moment to face.” – continues the Venetian spiker – “We were coming from a difficult period, where we had lost several games that we should have won. We lacked continuity and serenity, it wasn’t easy for the club to make that decision, but it had to be done to give the team a jolt.

What is the biggest regret that the captain carries with him at the end of this championship?

“I think there are many aspects that have influenced the entire journey. From our part, as captain, I expected more spirit of sacrifice and to make oneself available for one’s team especially in difficult moments. This has been missing many times, and unfortunately It is one of the most important factors for a group to function well.

Your experience with the Puma seems to have reached the end credits. What is your personal assessment and what has this Monregalese experience given you?

“I must say that those of Mondovì were two very intense and troubled seasons.” – explains Laura Grigolo – “I carry with me many beautiful moments, but at the same time I try to learn from the mistakes I’ve made and from the situations in which I haven’t always been flawless. I think that every experience always leaves you with a lesson. I’m happy to have had the chance to play and wear the colors of this city, and for this I thank the club for giving me this opportunity. Finally, I sincerely thank all the Ultras Puma for always supporting us in every arena and for all the affection they have always shown us.
