the Government gives the green light

Motorcycles are one of the main passions of Italians and now the Government is making two wheels a medicine.

There are many ways to treat people, with the use of drugs always being a fundamental aspect. Science is making giant strides every day, demonstrating that man is able to discover a whole series of methods that can make life better and above all longer-lived than in the past.

However, it is not enough just to swallow drugs and medicines to feel good, but it is also necessary to ensure that there is a positive spirit when one has to go through similar periods. In hospitals we have been trying for a long time to carry out what is called the “smile therapy”, or a way to distract and make children happy.

It is clearly not just the little ones who need laughter and light-heartedness, but they are those who need it the most. This therapy is carried out mainly by clowns and people who have decided to dedicate their lives to laughter and fun, with many professional comedians who have decided to lend a hand.

However, there are many methods that allow a child to experience a moment of joy even when life seems to be slipping away. An excellent method is undoubtedly the one linked to motorbikes, with two wheels now classified to all intents and purposes as a sort of medicine, with Parliament having approved its use.

“Mototherapy” is born: how it works and why it is important

In the end also the Italian Parliament decided to approve the motion of the law which would have allowed the hospitals of the Bel Paese to implement the “mototherapy”. It is a treatment tool that involves a whole series of associations and hospitals, with these having the task of giving joy to children in critical conditions.

There are four articles that have been drawn up to regulate this particular therapy, with the recognition of the benefits of this therapy which occurred thanks to a study on 100 patients. Fifty of these were pediatric and with an average age of 9.2 years, with 73% of them having been diagnosed with a form of leukemia.

The remaining half were adults, 83% of whom were women, with an average age of 33.2 years. Finally, the study was also articulated with the addition of 25 doctors and nurses and the data, once completed motor therapy, was exhilarating, considering how the questionnaires filled out were extremely positive and the significant drop in the perception of stress was also evident.

The events take place above all with motocross bikes, with these giving rise to spectacular stunts outside, but also having the opportunity to navigate the hospital rooms. We are thinking about promoting this moving initiative Vanni Oddera, a well-known freestyler, who explained how no one in the association went to Parliament to promote this law. Over the years, however, many political leaders have participated in these events and in the end the positive results led to “mototherapy” being made official as a cure.
