Historic day for Imperia rugby, with the delivery of the works to the Pino Valle field

Imperia. Tuesday 23 April was a historic date for Imperia rugby because the work finally took place by Engineer Guido Ferri belonging to the Ferri and Gazzano Associate Technical Studio. Furthermore, the architect Mantovani and Doctor Prattichizzo were present, representing members of the company assigned the works Giò Costruzioni srl of Sanremo

A nice ceremony took place with the President of Union Rugby Riviera Massimo Zorniotti and the Vice President of Imperia Rugby Nicola Berio who donated t-shirts with the company logos to the technicians and managers of the Giò Costruzioni Srl company, wishing them a good start some jobs.

Engineer Ferri, in addition to the formalities necessary for starting the works, spent a few words with the managers of the companies, highlighting how the project has received praise from the Italian Rugby Federation and CONI itself for the rationality and usability of the proposal brought after you.

After the start of the works, which will not prevent the normal activity of the clubs and the carrying out of the last seasonal commitments, the dimensions of the playing field will be redefined which will subsequently lead to its approval for matches up to Serie A.

Furthermore, Massimo Zorniotti, in his role as Development Manager of the Italian Rugby Federation for the Liguria region, underlined how once the works have been completed and the approvals have been obtained, it will be possible to host top-tier national and international teams on the “Pino Valle” field both for matches friendlies and championships.

Let’s not forget, then, that a facility in optimal conditions combined with proximity to France will further increase the possibility of hosting foreign teams and clubs in our city, bringing greater visibility and tourism.

Luigi Ardoino President of Imperia Rugby recalled that the sports structure of the Baitè Region has existed for many years thanks to the sole commitment of the volunteers of the sports associations present: Imperia Rugby, Union Rugby Riviera and the friends of the Imperiesi Archers who together took care of all ordinary and extraordinary maintenance. Being able to witness the start of the works and the related investment of the Municipality of Imperia in the area today is recognition of the good work done in the field which has allowed us to increase the number of practitioners and enthusiasts of our sport.

The handover ceremony of the works ended by sharing the practical aspects of the next start-up activities and the necessary coexistence with the sports activities already planned: the City of Imperia Tournament next 25 and 26 May and the tenth edition of the Pino Valle Tournament which will take place will take place on the weekend of June 1st and 2nd in addition to the championship commitments of the under 16, under 18 and senior teams.
