Away victory for CSI Tirano “Fratelli Magro” who conquered the Sanda Volley field on Saturday 20 April 2024. The Valtellina team, which defends the colors of the Tirano association and PGS Auxilium Sondrio, won the first two sets. The hosts closed the gap in the third set, but in the fourth they had to bow to the visiting team (Partials: 21/25 – 25/27 – 25/22 – 18/25).

The PGS Auxilium youth sector did well
The activity of the youth sector of PGS Auxilium Sondrio is intense. On Thursday, among the under 11s taking part in the PGS Spring Championship, the “GB Dental” branded team won by 3 sets to zero, hosting the equal age groups of GS Volley Chiuro (Partials: 21/18 – 21/12 – 21/16 ).
On Sunday, the team from Sondrio defeated GS Piuro in the Sondrio concentration of the championship reserved for the Under 12s, with a score of 3-0 (Partials: 15/25 – 24/25 – 22/25). «A very hard-fought match played in Piuro, with good play from both teams» – notes Filippo Salerno. Following this, “GB Dental” also overcame their cousins CSI Tirano in three sets (Partials: 25/5 – 25/8 – 25/6).
On Sunday, the under 12s of PGS Auxilium “Scieghi Assicurazioni” beat Pallavolo Altavalle in the Dongo Concentration, again of the local Fipav Under 12s: 3-0 (partial scores: 25/13 – 25/20 – 25/23 ), while they had to bow to the hosts of Pallavolo Altolario who won 3-0 (Partials: 25/18 – 25/6 – 25/21).
The referee is missing, the derby between Auxilium and Nuova Sondrio Sportiva is cancelled
In the Second Division championship, the awaited derby between PGS Auxilium “Nana Meccanica” and Nuova Sondrio Sportiva was not played due to the absence of the referee.
«We are really disappointed by what happened – comments the General Director of the Auxilium Cesare Salerno bitterly and continues – Finding ourselves an hour before the start of a match without anyone having been notified of the referee’s absence is truly inconceivable! We contacted the Competitions Commission to ask for authorization to have an “associate” referee direct the match, but at first we received a firm no and then, only after calling the territorial President, was this authorization granted but, by now, there were a few minutes left until 9pm and the attempts of both companies were in vain. Sorry for the girls and the staff, but above all for the large audience who had decided to spend a Saturday evening in the gym dedicated to volleyball: they sadly had to return home.”
