He couldn’t have chosen a better race, Mikael ZijlaardTo conquer his first success among professionals. The twenty-four year old Dutchman from Tudor Pro Cycling he actually won the prologue of the Tour of Romandie – held in Payerne over a distance of 2,280 meters – right in the home of his team’s sponsor.
Zijlaard pedaled for 2.55″43 at an average of 46.788 km/h ahead of the Australian Cameron Scott of Bahrain Victorious e Julian Alaphilippe of Soudal Quick Step. Obviously the ranking is very short and there is a probable battle tomorrow for the leader’s jersey, also given the bonuses that are up for grabs.
