Laigueglia promoted as capital of beach volleyball for children

The 24 fields will host the training sessions of the Gabbiano Volley ASD with the Under 12, 13 and 16 categories and the Andora and Laigueglia comprehensive school. Two hundred couples from all over Italy on twenty-four camps over two days. This is the historical participation record recorded in Laigueglia with the Fipav club championship, numbers in hand that transform the event organized by Riviera Beach Volley in collaboration with Beach Volley Training into the largest stage in Italy.

A beautiful image for our village which believed in this initiative which aims to promote shared sociality and a healthy and participatory lifestyle in the open air through sport and entertainment. Sport represents a fundamental activity for the development and well-being of children and this tournament has certainly made the most of these elements.”

«We are enthusiastic – underlines Alessio Marri, president and promoter of Riviera Beach Volley – to understand the proportions just think that the largest event in the world in Bibione hosts 600 couples on 300 fields, we with Bvt 200 on 24. To this we add the contemporaneity with events of a social and inclusive nature such as the Family Beach which saw parents and children line up together and a Special Olympics delegation of over 50 athletes from Liguria and Piedmont”.

Over 12 teams of parents with children were involved and four Special Olympics teams under the coordination of the Eunike Team from Albissola Marina with a team also coming from Pinerolo. An incredible show, also rewarded by the climate, all accompanied by the solidarity fundraiser of Riviera Beach Volley with the “Back to the sea 2” event with the patronage of the Liguria Region, which included a donation of one euro per participant in favor of Medici Senza Borders engaged in Gaza. An event that gave 12 podiums in the various gold, silver and bronze categories provided by the Italian Volleyball Federation.

Once the first Laigueglia weekend has passed, the 24 fields will host the training sessions of the Gabbiano Volley ASD with the Under 12, 13 and 16 categories and the Andora and Laigueglia comprehensive school has planned a tournament for 9 primary and lower secondary classes. But the program doesn’t stop from 25 to 28 April comes the third edition of the Spring Beach Camp, the largest training camp in Italy led by Cus Turin and Mba Milan with over 350 participants.
