Starting today and until April 24th the Tour of Türkiye and for this stage race the Alpecin-Deceuninck will change its name and name Alpecin-Pimapen. The sponsor Deceuninck has not disappeared, but to strengthen the brand’s presence in Turkey, Pimapen, one of the brands owned by Deceuninck and marketed in Turkey, will be used. It is therefore a purely strategic maneuver, which Deceuninck-Alpecin wanted to make known today, before the start of the Tour of Turkey.

«In Deceuninck’s efforts to strengthen its presence in the Turkish market, we will move on to the Pimapen shirts, one of Deceuninck’s Turkish brands – explained the team – Furthermore, during this period our team will adopt the name “Alpecin-Pimapen” to further underline the link with the Turkish market».

At the end of the Tour of Turkey, the team of Philipsen and Van der Poel will return to wear the jersey with the usual main sponsors, namely Alpecin and Deceuninck.

«This strategic decision is guided by the objective of increasing its market share and brand visibility in Turkey – continued the team in its press release -. By running with an important Turkish brand like Pimapen, Deceuninck believes it can better relate to its Turkish audience and further consolidate its presence in this important market.”

Deceuninck is a leading company in the world for the construction of roofs, windows and doors, focusing on completely recyclable material. Pimapen, founded in 1982, also deals with doors and windows and has become part of the Deceuninck group since 2014.

At the Tour of Turkey, Alpecin-Pimapen will race with Robbe Ghys, Jansen Plowright, Jonas Rickaert, Ramon Sinkeldam, Henri Uhlig and Simon Dehairs.
