Napoli transfer market, super investment in defense: De Laurentiis’ idea

Napoli is ready to invest a super amount in defense: De Laurentiis’ idea to remedy the cracks in the defensive department has been revealed.

The Naples will necessarily have to change a lot in the next transfer market given the disastrous season played this year. The Azzurri still see a place in the next European cups in doubt but, in any case, it is undeniable that the performance offered by many players is below average, to the point of requiring radical changes to the team that will take the field next year.

The department most affected by the problems is undoubtedly the defensive one. The departure of Kim Min-Jaedefensive leader of the group that conquered the Scudetto of the course of the year, had a huge impact on the balance of the blue set-up. The club has many faults in not being able to adequately replace him: the one who arrived from the transfer market as his replacement, Natan, has gradually lost his place as a starter and now seems to have slipped into the position of the last alternative in the Azzurri defence.

Napoli transfer market, ideas for the defence

Today’s edition of The Corriere dello Sport thus try to take stock of the possible defender that Napoli could purchase from the market. Many names have been circulating in the last few days and hours but it really seems almost certain that the blue club will make an investment in the department next summer.

Good morning and not only among the defense objectives – LAPRESSE -spazionapoli.it

According to the newspaper, Napoli will have a large budget available to invest in the market, deriving from the club’s positive balance sheets and the profit that will derive from the sale of Victor Osimhen. The latter will bring the blue coffers a profit of no less than 100 million euros, of which only a part will be invested in his replacement (the names at the top are those of David of Lille and Gimenez of Feyenoord). Furthermore, the treasure could increase net of other sales, for a total that could even reach 150 million.

However, Napoli’s other great objective is, as mentioned, to strengthen the defense: it therefore becomes logical to think of a large investment for the department. The names evaluated by the club are all rather expensive profiles, but reachable with a great offer: Alessandro Good morning of Turin, Giorgio Scalvini of Atalanta, Jean-Claire Todibo of Nice and David Hanko of Feyenoord.

A big blow could, therefore, finally arrive in the department. This would be fundamental: the Azzurri are too in need of a renewal in the defensive department, which involves the arrival of a new leader, but also new alternatives. We will therefore just have to wait to see which of these names will arrive or whether or not an outsider will win.
