Via Emilia basketball derby, between Virtus Bologna and Unahotels, postponed: either by two hours, or by 24; depending on the outcome of the Euroleague match, which will see the Bolognese involved in Vitoria this evening, in the Euroleague Play-ins the awaited split-ball match will take place the day after tomorrow, at 8.30 pm, or on Monday 22nd, at the same time . Yesterday, late in the morning, Legabasket clarified the two hypotheses on the table, in compliance with its regulation which, in article 5, allows teams involved in European Cups to request, under certain conditions, the postponement of a championship match. Regarding the dispute between the red and whites and Vnere, the picture is the following: if Segafredo prevails in Vitoria, qualifying for the playoffs of the highest continental competition (possible game 1 on Tuesday 23rd in Madrid against Real) the clash between them and Galloway and his teammates will go to scene on Sunday at 8.30pm, based on the rule which provides for a team competing in the Cup the right to have a minimum 48 hour gap between a European match and a Serie A match. Emilia will be played on Monday 22nd, again at the Segafredo Arena and with tap-off at 8.30pm. By virtue, also in this case, of the regulation, which allows a team involved in Europe that plays on Friday evening (this is the case of Virtus in Vitoria) to ask to postpone the national championship match to the following Monday. Nothing to complain about, regulation in hand. It could be argued, however, that the Bolognese association could have formulated a request of this type earlier, given that the Play-in calendar had been known for some time, in such a way as to allow the League to make it official a few days in advance. But anyway, and even if no one, neither the Virtussino coach Banchi nor, and probably even more so, the Unahotels coach, Priftis, likes to prepare a match (among other things fundamental in terms of the playoff-championship grid for both teams ) without knowing precisely when it will be played, the Reggio Emilia fans in particular were disappointed. Which flooded the Pallacanestro Reggiana page and those of the main groups of fans with comments on social media (over 300 already in the late afternoon). There was also no shortage of traditional “teases” between supporters of different colours. With the Reggio ultras replying to the Bolognese ultras, and Virtus, wanting to take advantage of an extra day, in the event of defeat in Spain, to rest, and the latter replying to the red and white fans of being instrumental. In the middle, and they are the angriest, are those who would not be able to participate if the match was moved to Monday: especially for work reasons.
