The ambition can be seen in his gaze. And also in the Instagram bio: “Same game, different level”. There are 22 of them on the pitch, but almost always very few get noticed. Edon Zhegrova knows well how to stand out among many, raising the level: it happened to him for the first time in 2012, when Milan organized a Junior Camp in Pristina, Kosovo. He is 13 years old and has finally returned to the Balkan country after the war which had pushed his parents to emigrate and have him born elsewhere. That week in the capital represents the sliding door of his young career: he earns the award for best talent, gets a call for a youth friendly at San Siro and witnesses a Milan-Chievo match that is unforgettable for him. And to think that he had barely had time to change: “I only found out about the camp at the last minute. I signed up as the 200th, I came first at the end of the week.” Same game, different level.
