Future Calabria, very high demand for renewal: Milan’s response

Milan, Calabria renewal: the player asks for double. The club’s response

There’s an air of renewals at Milan. In this context, long-standing questions concern the situation of the Rossoneri captain, Davide Calabria. Born and raised in the Rossoneri environment in football, Calabria rose from Milan’s youth team to wear the captain’s armband of Devil. This means that the bond between the player and the club is solid and happy.

A bond which, however, needs to be long-lasting in order to be strengthened. For this reason the case of the renewal of Calabria it is very delicate. As reported by Daniele Longoin fact, the club is busy negotiating for the renewal of the Rossoneri full-back’s contract, which will expire in 2025. Calabria is eager to extend his stay with the Rossoneri shirt, but at the moment there is no agreement between the parties from an economic point of view. The player, in fact, would have advanced one salary request that is almost double the current salary.

For this reason, the club is reportedly negotiating to try to reach an agreement that can satisfy both parties. Milan is working to try to retain the player. However, the figures requested by Calabria seem to be outside the Rossoneri’s radar, so we will need to discuss it further.

The renewal of Calabria joins those of Theo Hernandez and of Maignan, with contracts expiring in 2026. Important players for the Rossoneri’s 11, who the club will try to retain unless there is a different desire on their part. However, it will be necessary to wait until the end of the season to take this delicate topic which concerns the Rossoneri captain back into consideration.
