He does it at the end of the 29th matchday: only Bayern in 2014 (27th matchday) and 2013 (28th) finished the championship earlier. To beat Werder (5-0) goals from Boniface, from a penalty, in the 25th minute, Xhaka’s in the 60th minute and Wirtz in the 69th, 83rd and 90th minutes were needed. With today’s victory, Leverkusen also remained unbeaten for the 43rd match of the season, equaling the record set by Conte’s Juventus in 2011-12.
