There still remains the sensational error of the chair umpire, the Frenchwoman Aurelie Tourte, who did not see a double fault by Tsitsipas during the semi-final against Jannik Sinner which would have brought the Italian to 4-1 (double break) in the third set, and who knows if the ATP will take action.

By the way: the semi-final remains a highly watched match on TV with ratings always at the top on Sky: from 1.30pm on Saturday, on Sky Sport Uno and Sky Sport Tennis, 940 thousand average viewers overall and over 2 million unique viewers, with the 8% share. The peak of 1 million 137 thousand spectators was recorded during the decisive phases of the third set.

Now Barcelona and Madrid
Finally, the last note: those nostalgic for the one-handed backhand will be happy to have two, representatives in the top ten: Tsitsipas and Grigor Dimitrov.
