CASCINA – In or out (of the playoffs). This is what’s at stake in tonight’s (Saturday 13 April) head-to-head clash between Volleyball Livorno and Volleyball Casciavola.
Two days to go, the two teams share the second position in the standings on equal points, the last one that allows them to access the playoffs. In fact, by regulation, only the top two in each of the three Serie C groups can qualify for the post-season and aim to move up in category.
The yellow-blues have earned the chance to play for everything while still having their destiny in their hands by winning last week 3-0 away against Pallavolo Follonica.
“It could have been a tricky match – he commented coach D’Alesio – but the girls were very good at making very few mistakes and always remaining focused. I want to congratulate the whole team, even those who don’t have much space on Saturday but train a lot and well during the week like Rachele Calzecchi, Giorgia Lavoratori, Camilla Boschetto, Chiara Saggini and Emma Salani”.
In Week Captain Melosi and companions have worked at their best to prepare with great attention down to the smallest details what will be one real battle in front of a very hot audience like the one who is present every time at the PalaPediatrica to support Pallavolo Casciavola when it plays at home.
