An electrician 56 years old he died late this morning, around 11 am, inside a goods storage warehouse. According to initial reconstructions, he was crushed inside the basket of a forklift truck while he was working on electrical maintenance in the warehouse of the food distribution company Gruppo Alimentare Sardo, in the industrial area of Predda Niedda, in Sassari, road number 8.

The worker, Ettore Garuoriginally from Sassari, from what we learned, worked for an external company called upon to maintain the electrical system of the Gruppo Alimentare Sardo company. According to an initial reconstruction, the man was at a height on the basket operated by another operator on the ground, when he was crushed against the reinforced concrete wall of the structure and then fell to the ground. The causes of the accident are still to be understood. It could have been the same colleague who made the wrong maneuver or the accident could have occurred due to a fault. An ambulance from 118 intervened but there was nothing that could be done for the man. The firefighters and the Spresal (Prevention and Safety Service in the Workplace) are also on site while the investigations are entrusted to the carabinieri. The magistrate on duty ordered the seizure of the vehicle and the portion of the warehouse where the fatal accident occurred.
