The new Solos AirGo Vision smart glasses are trying to shake things up a bit in the still somewhat stagnant smart glasses sector. The new rivals of the Meta Ray Bans are aiming for minimalism and lightness and are packing on artificial intelligence, as they are the first in the world to be able to incorporate support for two major language models such as GPT-4o and also Google Gemini. The aim is of course to broaden the horizons of interaction with the user who wears them and to better interpret what the integrated video camera is able to capture.

The structure of the Solos AirGo Vision glasses is modular, with the possibility of detaching the video camera from the mount if you are in a place where filming is prohibited. This makes it even easier to choose other temples from the catalog and easily change the style of the frame. Interaction with the user occurs via voicethanks to the combination of integrated microphones and speakers and there is a notification LED that warns you when you are receiving for example a phone call on the connected smartphone or for new emails in your inbox. In addition to the support of the OpenAI GPT-4o model which is the standard option, the Solos smart glasses can also take advantage of Google Gemini and Claude di Anthropic to act as all-purpose assistants. Ok, but what can they do in cash? They can recognize various types of objects for example by asking “What am I looking at right now?” as well as doing comparison searches “Where can I get this for a better price?”.

Smart glasses can also tell you more about tourist attractions and locations that you are framing, they can provide navigation directions (“Drive me to the Eiffel Tower”) or explain a recipe step by step when you are in the kitchen. The camera is also available to take regular photos or videos. The selling price of Solos AirGo is $249.99 in the USA (around 232 euros at the exchange rate), but does not include the photographic module, the cost of which will be released shortly.
