Gabriele Corsi made a fair appeal: “I invite everyone not to repost these images”
In the past few hours, a video has appeared on social media coming directly from the very first rehearsals in Malmo of some of the performances that will liven up Eurovision Song Contest 2024, starting on May 7th. The video in question is a spoiler of the performance of Angelina Mango on the notes of “La Noia”, together with a dance troupe. The singer-songwriter, however, was not present, in fact the first rehearsals were for the direction and the lights, so an extra appeared in place of the artist. The problem is that it is any type of dissemination of the evidence, whether in audio, video or photos, is strictly prohibited by the organization. The host of the Italian version of Eurovision Gabriele Corsi made a fair appeal: “I invite everyone not to repost these images. I understand that we live in a social age, but if possible, delete these images“.
“A breach of cyber security is absolutely excluded, but we have checks underway and we don’t know why this spoiler occurred. – he said the Rai International Relations director, Simona Martorelli -. We asked internally to take action, the Eurovision leaders were involved. It was impossible to block it on social media. In reality these are stunt doubles, but there were actually elements that were revealed“.
He also intervenes in the case Claudio Fasulo, deputy director of prime time entertainment for Rai: “It’s not something comparable to the release of an unreleased song in Sanremo. It is the proof that is done by some good and good-willed guys, some dancers, who sing in place of the artists of the various nationalities. It has no artistic value comparable to what we will see on stage. Of course, this is something that shouldn’t happen. It was an internal email that had eight recipients. A very serious thing that must not happen because it should have been a document that remains among the experts“.
