Moscow hammers Kharkiv: TV tower demolished

Rome, 22 April 2024 – A Russian raid shot down the Kharkiv television tower northeast of Ukraine. Moscow doesn’t let go and hammers the second largest city in the country, as well as an important university and scientific hub. For at least a month, in fact, Russia has increased the intensity of its attacks after the Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov he announced Putin’s intention to “occupy the Kharkiv area”.

Numerous videos are circulating showing the moment of the tragic collapse, some videos were recorded from a nearby building. It is not yet clear what hit the 240 meter high tower, but according to some sources cited by Reuters, Russia would have used Kh-59 cruise missiles. “The occupiers hit the television infrastructure in Kharkiv. During the alarm, employees were sheltered. There were no casualties. At the moment the TV signal is interrupted”, reported the government of the region, Oleg Synegubovas UNIAN reports.
