The organizational machine is proceeding at full speed to make Max Pezzali’s New Year’s Eve concert possible tomorrow in Sassari.
«The preparations are in line with the times we had given ourselves», reports Gian Stefano Murru of Gian Production who, together with Ragazze Terribili, is the local contact to whom the Vivo Concerti agency has entrusted the organization of the event scheduled in Piazzale Segni. Operations began as early as December 22nd also to avoid being surprised by any adverse weather conditions. There are three sectors for spectators which, within the spaces provided, can contain 20 thousand spectators. “But it is possible – continues Murru – that more will arrive.”
In this sense, we are trying to understand how many buses, full of future spectators, are expected on December 31st and, no less, what time they will arrive. “The gates will be manned from 4pm and we must wait for the inspection by the firefighters who will not arrive before 6pm.”
So before – at least – 7pm the public will not be able to enter. The on-site meeting of the safety committee will be held at 10 tomorrow morning while this evening there will be the first audio and lighting checks with 14 people at work. There are 25 operators involved on stage, 100 local police officers and 120 security men who will be present tomorrow. Important numbers that add up, among others, to the 20 stands, the two giant screens and the 90 chemical toilets.
Spectators will occupy sectors A and B, then there will be two areas intended for people with disabilities. «We have 15 parking spaces for them and Dinamo also offered us those in Palaserradimigni to be occupied until they are filled».
Meanwhile, the Municipality informs that, due to technical problems, the email address for requesting information on the concert has changed. Now it’s [email protected]. Returning to the numbers of potential spectators, we know for sure that both hotels and B&Bs in the city have been sold-out for some time for the night of December 31st and the reason, mostly, is one: Max Pezzali.
