Today, on the 48th anniversary of the earthquake that struck Friuli on 6 May 1976, Radio 24 has decided to dedicate today’s entire episode of the show “Matteo Caccia narrates” to Orcolat.
The transmission
“On 6 May 1976 at 9pm, the devastating earthquake occurred in Friuli (Orcolat in the Friulian language). The earthquake of magnitude 6.5 on the Richter scale which struck Friuli and the neighboring territories is remembered as the fifth worst seismic event that has struck Italy in the 1900s. The area most affected was the one north of Udine”. Thus begins the long story of Pietro who was among the rescuers and which will give the well-known radio host the opportunity to dedicate the entire episode to that devastating seismic event 48 years later.
