Singers from Gravino at the Mia Martini award

A large group of young singing promises ready to land at the “Mia Martini Prize” to beat the competition of their opponents in a singing competition. The children of the Accademia Musicale Gravinese artistically directed by Maestro Francesco Cassano and followed by their singing teacher, the soprano Concetta Aquila, are ready for the singing festival scheduled for next April 24th to 26th at Scalea, to then end in Bagnara Calabra, a town native of Mia Martini. A competition promoted by the Cultura e Spettacolo association, now in its 31st edition, which was created with the aim “of promoting the culture of singing and music by providing young participants with an opportunity to meet with artistic, cultural and professional operators in the sector” – explain the organizers.

And the team of the Accademia Musicale Gravinese is large and fierce. A heterogeneous class in terms of age group, but homogeneous in terms of singing ability, who set out with strong hopes of bringing home prestigious awards, also because some of them, despite their young age, have already managed to assert themselves in other singing competitions. Such as the 13-year-old Ada Livulpi, winner of the first “Tour Italian Theaters” prize; as well as Annaclaudia D’Alonzo, who is 15 years old and is also the winner of the award for best interpretation; or Nicola Leone, 19 years old from Poggiorsini who already has an interesting list of awards, having won the prize in the Italian Radio Promotion competition; The special prize at the Milano Sing Gala competition and first place at the “Tour Italian Theaters”. Completing the team from Gravino there will also be the very young Mariagiovanna Colonna, only 10 years old; Carlotta Bovio who is 11 years old, the 22 year old Deamira Trentadue, the 33 year old Rossana Clemente, with Giovanna Nacucchi closing the group, who already participated in the singing competition in Calabria several years ago, finishing in second position.

At the Mia Martini Award the Academy team will be accompanied by the teacher Concetta Aquila who strongly wanted the selections to be made for the competition dedicated to Mia Martini, with the more than concrete hope of bringing home recognition and flattering results.
