“I am beyond honoured,” he added Ozzyadmitting that he didn’t necessarily feel “confident” in pursuing a solo career in 1980 following his stint with Black Sabbath. Ozzy has since maintained a stable and successful solo career. “Randy made me feel like we could be on the right track,” Ozzy said. “With every new musical venture there’s always a certain amount of surprise that comes when you see fans embrace it. Not bad for a guy who got fired from his last band.”

Black Sabbath fired him in 1979 due to his alcohol and drug problems, but Ozzy Osbourne reunited with the legendary hard rock group a number of times, including their final tour which ended in February 2017. Ozzy he added that this induction differs from his introduction to Black Sabbath in 2006 “because my solo career has been a much larger part of my musical career as a whole. I feel more special and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels that way,” he concluded.
